Tour Context and Historical Background

This performance marks Ne-Yo's return to Kenya after an 11-year absence. He last performed in the country in 2015. His initial visit to Nairobi was for the third season of Coke Studio Africa.

During that trip, he collaborated with artists including Wangechi, Ali Kiba, Maurice Kirya, and Ice Prince. He later recorded the track "Marry You" with Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz.

The Nairobi date is part of a broader regional leg. Ne-Yo will perform in South Africa on 17th and 18th October before arriving in Kenya.

The October concert follows a previous event by Radio Africa Groupin June. That event featured artists Bien, Ali Kiba, Karyn White, and Kirk Whalum.
