Women in Busia County have urged for a levelled playing field with their male counterparts to enable them to campaign freely and seek political support ahead of the 2027 General Election. They cited various barriers that have discouraged many women from actively participating in politics. The women praised female leaders for promoting transformative and citizen-centred leadership focused on addressing the needs of the people.
