President William Ruto has mourned the death of Dr David Silverstein, the longtime personal physician to retired President Daniel arap Moi. Ruto described Silverstein as a distinguished doctor whose pioneering work in cardiology made a lasting contribution to Kenya’s medical sector. Silverstein began treating Moi in 1977, when he was Vice President, and served as his personal physician for 42 years until Moi’s death in February 2020.
