DP Kithure Kindiki leads UDA polling centre officials during a mobilisation event in Manyatta Constituency, Embu County, on Saturday, September 12, 2026/DPCSDeputy President Kithure Kindiki has led a mobilisation drive for the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) in Embu County as the ruling party steps up grassroots activities ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Kindiki led a UDA polling centre officials’ event held on Saturday morning in Manyatta Constituency, where thousands of attendees turned up for the exercise.
He was accompanied by several political allies, while many attendees wore UDA’s signature yellow colours and caps.
The large turnout came as the party continued its efforts to strengthen its grassroots structures ahead of the next General Election.
During the event, Kindiki rallied support for UDA and President William Ruto while highlighting what he described as achievements of the Kenya Kwanza administration since it took office.
The Deputy President outlined various government programmes and service delivery initiatives, using the gathering to promote the administration’s record and its efforts to implement its manifesto.
He also urged UDA members to remain united and strengthen the party’s structures at the grassroots as preparations for the 2027 polls gather pace.
The Embu event forms part of wider mobilisation activities by UDA leaders seeking to strengthen the party’s presence and structures in different parts of the country ahead of the elections.
Kindiki has in recent weeks used such gatherings to highlight the government’s record while rallying support for the administration and the ruling party.
A week earlier, the Deputy President praised more than 20,000 UDA polling station officials in Meru County for investing their time and resources in supporting the ruling party at the grassroots.
Speaking at Kinoru Stadium on September 4, 2026, Kindiki described the officials as the “bosses” of the UDA party at the polling centres, saying their role would be critical in explaining the government’s development record ahead of the 2027 General Election.
“You are very important. You are the spokespersons of the party at the polling centres where you have been elected. Those 20 officials are leaders of the party, and you are in charge of promoting the party, speaking on behalf of the party, and speaking on behalf of the President at that polling centre. You are the party,” he said.
