Former Cabinet Minister Simeon Nyachae’s son, Michael Moragia Nyachae, has been charged with stealing Sh1.2 million belonging to a local company. Nyachae is accused of committing the offence on diverse dates between March 2019 and September 2021 in Kisii County. He denied the charges when he appeared before Milimani Principal Magistrate Caroline Nyaguthii. The court free him on  a 200,000 shillings bond with a similar surety or 50,000 shillings cash bail, pending further proceedings.
