Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa has urged Cooperatives Cabinet Secretary Wycliffe Oparanya to support President William Ruto in the 2027 General Election without demanding to be appointed as his running mate or Deputy President. Barasa criticised Oparanya and called on him to stop threatening to join the opposition should he fail to secure the position.
