The Political Parties Disputes Tribunal has upheld Edwin Sifuna’s removal as Secretary-General of the ODM party, dismissing his third attempt to challenge his ouster. In a ruling delivered today, the Tribunal found that ODM’s National Executive Committee was entitled to establish a panel to hear the disciplinary case and that Sifuna was accorded a fair hearing. The Tribunal rejected his argument that the panel was unconstitutional and lacked authority to recommend his removal.
