President William Ruto has announced that the government will invest Sh1 billion to reconstruct Kericho Green Stadium, which hosted the 2023 Mashujaa Day celebrations. Ruto said the stadium was hurriedly renovated to host the national event and did not meet the required standards. Speaking in Kericho, the President also announced plans to construct a state-of-the-art stadium in Kapkret and a referral hospital in Kipkelion, with construction expected to begin next month.
