Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has defended the government’s promises and agenda amid criticism that it has over-promised. Kindiki challenged leaders to have the courage to make promises to the people and, where they are unable to deliver, explain the reasons for failing to do so. He said leaders should remain accountable to citizens by being honest about the challenges that hinder the implementation of their pledges.
