One of the key witnesses in the Albert Ojwang’ murder case, Corporal Stephen Maina Nderitu, has died. Nderitu, who was attached to Nairobi’s Central Police Station when Ojwang’ died, collapsed and died at his home on Monday, hours after leaving work. A postmortem cited acute ulcers, cardiac arrest and depression as causes of death. Officials said Nderitu’s statement, recorded in May last year contained sensitive details on the chain of accountability in the case.
