Police in Nairobi have arrested at least six people over allegations of harassing foreigners living and working in Kenya. Some suspects are accused of making remarks intended to incite ethnic hatred and violence against Burundian and Tanzanians. Nairobi Regional Police Commander Issa Mohamud said four suspects were arrested for allegedly harassing Chinese traders in Nyamakima while demanding immigration documents and bribes. The arrests follow misuse of an earlier directive restricting foreigners from engaging in small-scale businesses without proper documentation.
