Calls have been made for the government to create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive in the country. Speaking earlier today, former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i said it was a conflict of interest for government officials to engage in business. He warned that such practices could create an uneven playing field, disadvantaging other business operators and undermining fair competition.
