A suspect arrested for allegedly making inflammatory remarks targeting Burundians living and working in Kenya has been arraigned at the Makadara Law Courts. Kevin Odiwuor Otieno denied three charges of ethnic contempt, hate speech and offensive conduct likely to cause a breach of the peace. The charges stem from remarks he allegedly made during a Bunge la Mwananchi gathering at Jacaranda Grounds on Sunday, which have since gone viral. He was granted a 300,000 shilling bond or 150,000 shilling cash bail.
