Most parts of Kenya are expected to remain generally dry this week as the country approaches the October–December short-rains season. The Kenya Meteorological Service forecasts rainfall in parts of Lamu, Kilifi, Tana River, Mombasa, Kwale, Narok and Bomet counties between September 8 and 14. Farmers have been urged to prepare their farms and inputs, while residents in flood-prone areas should clear drainage channels. Daytime temperatures may exceed 30°C in northern and coastal areas, while some central and Rift Valley counties could record temperatures below 10°C at night.
