Nairobi gubernatorial candidate Margaret Wanjiru has pledged to foster a cordial relationship between the county and national governments while safeguarding Nairobi’s devolved functions if elected next year. Speaking on K24 TV, Wanjiru said her administration would not allow the national government to claw back functions constitutionally assigned to the county. She also pledged to work closely with Members of the County Assembly to secure adequate support and ensure efficient service delivery.
