Detectives are investigating the death of a senior Kenya Prisons Service officer whose body was found inside his car in an open field behind Spur Mall in Juja, Kiambu County. Forty-year-old Senior Superintendent of Prisons Eric Kiarie Wainaina was found unresponsive on Sunday morning, seated inside his Nissan Wingroad. Police recovered his identification documents, mobile phone, three empty spirit bottles, a water bottle and tablets associated with hypertension treatment. Investigations are ongoing.
