President William Ruto has mourned the death of Hafidh Ameir Hassan, the husband of Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan. Ameir died while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Zanzibar for heart-related complications. In his condolence message, Ruto said President Samia had lost a lifelong companion, her children a beloved father and Tanzania a distinguished son. He expressed Kenya’s solidarity with Tanzania and prayed for comfort and strength for the bereaved family.
