Public Service CS Geoffrey Ruku has intensified calls for political realignment in Mount Kenya, saying the region has suffered longstanding divisions. Speaking in Gatundu North, Kiambu, Ruku urged residents to embrace emerging political shifts and rejected accusations that he was dividing the region. Gatundu South MP Elijah Njoroge backed him, saying Kiambu could gain more resources and representation by becoming a separate region as 2027 approaches.
