Striking nurses and midwives are expected back on the streets today as they push for the resolution of their grievances. In a notice to police, the Kenya National Union of Nurses and Midwives says its members will converge at Greenpark in Nairobi before marching along Waiyaki Way to the Council of Governors headquarters in Westlands. A recent KNCHR report said at least 79 deaths had been linked to the strike. Doctors union KMPDU has issued a 7-day strike notice to the government to resolve the strike.
