Form Four leavers seeking careers in hospitality have another opportunity to secure places at Ronald Ngala Utalii College in Kilifi county, with 800 slots still available for the September 2026 intake.
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has extended the application period following closure of the initial August 10 to August 23 window.
The 800 vacancies are spread across 13 diploma and certificate programmes, including Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Front Office Operations, Food and Beverage Management, Housekeeping and Laundry Management, Pastry and Bakery, Food and Beverage Service and Sales, Travel and Tourism Management, Tour Guiding and Administration, and Travel and Tour Operations.
"Apply for certificate or diploma level and begin your journey to hospitality careers this September. September 2026 intake is ongoing. Apply via KUCCPS system: students," the placement agency said in a public notice.
Ronald Ngala Utalii College is the newest campus of Kenya Utalii College and opened its doors for the inaugural intake on September 1 after a 20-year delay.
The campus admitted its first cohort of 200 students, against a capacity of 1,000.
Tourism CS Rebecca Miano said the government had partnered with international hospitality companies to guarantee employment opportunities for graduates.
"This is the first college in Kenya that has guaranteed all its graduates job opportunities once they complete their courses. Our partners will employ all of them," Miano said during the opening of the Kilifi campus on September 1.
KUCCPS urged interested students to apply for the remaining places and acquire skills that could improve their chances of securing employment in the hospitality industry locally and internationally.
"Don’t wait — 800 spots are open at Ronald Ngala Utalii College, the newest campus of Kenya Utalii College in Kilifi county. This is your moment. Log in to the KUCCPS portal and apply for the ongoing September 2026 intake before the seats fill up," KUCCPS said.
Successful applicants will be eligible for government scholarships, loans and upkeep support throughout their studies.
The 60-acre institution was constructed at a cost of Sh4.9 billion as a premier hospitality training institute to serve the tourism industry at the Coast.
It becomes arguably the second largest government-owned hospitality training institution after the Kenya Utalii College in Nairobi.
