Doctors’ union KMPDU has given the government seven days to resolve the ongoing nurses’ strike, warning that doctors will also down their tools if the dispute is not addressed. KMPDU Secretary-General Dr Davji Atellah says doctors cannot take over nursing duties, and the continued strike risks putting further pressure on an already strained health system.
