Mpox has so far claimed 19 lives in the country , from the 1,298 confirmed MPOX cases reported across 40 counties. Seven counties, particularly those along the transport corridor, remain at highest risk of transmission. Mombasa has recorded the highest number of cases, followed by Nairobi, while Busia, Makueni, Kiambu, Kilifi and Nakuru are also among the most affected counties.
