The DPP has closed the inquest into the death of 29-year-old Gen-Z Rex Masai, who was killed during the Anti-Finance Bill protests. Appearing before Milimani Principal Magistrate Geoffrey Onsarigo today, the prosecution led by Deputy Director Jalson Makori informed the court of their intention to close the file, having called 30 witnesses. The request to close the file came after recalling Joshua Mutua, a forensic expert attached IPOA to confirm the findings of the video footage presented as evidence in the inquest.
