President William Ruto has commissioned the upgrading of the Ngong-Kibiko-Kangeria Road to bitumen standard in Kajiado West Sub-County, Kajiado County.

Ruto arrived in the area on Saturday, September 5, 2026, where he was received by local leaders and government officials before proceeding to flag off the road project.

The project is expected to improve transport and connectivity in the area, while easing the movement of people, agricultural produce, and other goods across Kajiado West.

Speaking during a subsequent public rally, Ruto said the road project was being implemented in response to a request by residents.

“I came here because you asked me for this road,” Ruto told the gathering.

The President said his administration was undertaking additional development projects within Kajiado County, with the aim of improving services and creating opportunities for residents.

He said the government would continue working with local leaders and communities to identify priority projects and address infrastructure and other development needs.
