Uhuru Gardens transformed into a vibrant celebration of African music on Saturday, September 5, 2026, as Congolese Rhumba icon Fally Ipupa headlined a 12-hour mega-concert.

Organised by Hams Prod in partnership with TRACE and Fenon Premium Events Production, the event ran from 3:00 PM into the early hours of Sunday, blending Congolese elegance with high-energy Amapiano.

The production team delivered a polished, multi-zone setup that catered to different ticket holders while maintaining a festive atmosphere across the expansive grounds.

VIP Elegance Under Canvas

Inside the main marquee, the VIP and VVIP areas stood out with sophisticated design.
Rows of white upholstered chairs with gold frames were arranged around matching high-top tables on a vibrant green turf floor.

Crystal-like centrepieces and soft ambient lighting created an upscale lounge feel.
A massive LED screen at the front of the tent displayed the Fenon branding, ensuring clear views of performances even from the seated sections.

Staff in red attire moved efficiently among the tables, preparing the space for guests who had paid for the elevated experience that included finger foods and soft drinks.

Open Grounds and Daytime Energy

Outside the main tents, the open grassy areas of Uhuru Gardens buzzed with activity under clear skies.

Black benches were spaced across the dry lawn, giving regular ticket holders comfortable spots to rest between sets.

Large white marquees framed the site, with one prominent structure housing the main stage area. Security and production crew in high-visibility vests managed the flow of early arrivals as fans began filling the space.

Fashion Takes Centre Stage

The crowd matched the production quality with striking style. Groups of friends strolled the grounds in coordinated looks — from casual denim shorts and patterned crop tops during the day to bold evening ensembles.

Sponsors including Safaricom, Kenya Airways, Ticket Yetu, Jeffery Travels and TRACE were prominently branded across the site, adding to the professional finish.

The concert marked Fally Ipupa’s return to Nairobi after a missed May appearance, with a stacked lineup featuring Kamo Mphela, DJ Maphorisa, Tango Supreme, DJ Ice, Joe Mfalme and Kodong Klan.

The 12-hour format was designed to give both Rhumba and Amapiano fans a full night of non-stop music.

As gates opened and the first acts prepared to take the stage, the combination of elegant VIP seating, spacious outdoor zones and a stylish, energetic crowd set the tone for what organisers promised would be a night Nairobi would talk about for a long time.
