A section of youth has petitioned Parliament to amend the law to introduce term limits for Members of Parliament. Under the United Youth Front, the youth are proposing that elected lawmakers serve a maximum of three terms, while nominated MPs serve up to two terms. They are also calling for the establishment of an independent Youth Commission to promote young people’s interests and ensure at least 30 percent of job opportunities are reserved for the youth.
