President William Ruto has received the Kenyan flag from police officers who returned from the Kenyan-led Multinational Security Support Mission in Haiti. Ruto praised the officers for their dedication, cooperation and courage in helping restore security in the gang-ravaged country. He also commended their contribution to the mission’s efforts to stabilize Haiti. A minute of silence was observed in honour of three Kenyan police officers who lost their lives while serving in the mission. The contingency was commissioned in June 2024 and returned to the country between December 2025  and March2026.
