President William Ruto has defended his administration’s decision to unveil a new Kenya Police Service uniform last Friday, describing it as part of ongoing police reforms. Speaking during the APS pass-out parade, Ruto said the uniform was introduced following consultations with police officers and members of the public. He acknowledged the scrutiny surrounding the reforms, noting that public funds are involved, and called for honest, impartial and constructive oversight.
