Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has condemned the reported abduction of Standard Group editor Alex Kiprotich, saying the incident raises concerns over media freedom and public safety. Kiprotich was reportedly seized by armed men along the Gilgil-Nakuru road before being found hours later near Masinga Dam. Natembeya says journalists should be free to work without intimidation, arguing that disagreements over published reports should be addressed through facts and lawful means rather than force.
