Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen has denied claims that there are unconstitutional police units operating outside the command of the Inspector General of Police. This follows allegations that certain units within the service were created to deal with government critics. Murkomen insisted that all police formations operate within the law. He also expressed confidence in IG Douglas Kanja’s professionalism and leadership, while challenging those criticising his performance.
