President William Ruto will next Monday launch three programmes aimed at empowering Kenya’s informal workforce. The initiatives include the Fundi Locator, NSSF Haba Haba and NITA’s Recognition of Prior Learning programme. Coordinated under the NYOTA project, the interventions seek to help artisans access formal certification, social security and wider markets. The Fundi Locator will connect customers with verified skilled workers.
