A 21-year-old JKUAT student has died after falling into an abandoned quarry in Juja, Kiambu County, while fleeing from four men who allegedly attacked him and three colleagues during a content-shooting picnic. Police say the men, who were armed with knives, demanded the students’ phones. Three escaped, but third-year student Derrick Omollo fell into the quarry, estimated to be 40 metres deep.
