Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has questioned the police investigation into the abduction of Standard Group associate editor Alex Kiprotich. The DCP leader Gachagua claims the probe will not yield results because police cannot investigate their own colleagues. He alleges the abduction was linked to Kiprotich’s planned investigative story on compensation of Mau Forest evictees. Gachagua has challenged Police IG Douglas Kanja to release findings of previous investigations into other alleged cases.
