A 59-year-old Chinese national has died after reportedly losing consciousness and falling into a gold mine pit in Rarieda, Siaya County. Jiang Minqiao was working at a mining site in Lumba Village when he fell from a pit estimated to be 147 feet deep. Police say he sustained serious injuries and died at the scene. Investigations are underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
