At least 22 maternal deaths were recorded in the country last week amid the ongoing nurses’ strike. Nurses Association President Collins Otieno says Kisumu, Nakuru, Kakamega and Kajiado counties are the most affected. He says they will remain on strike until the government reaches an agreement to sign the work contract.
