Manyatta MP Gitonga Mukunji has urged Parliament to strengthen laws governing the manufacture, distribution and sale of illicit alcohol. He called for stiffer penalties against producers and distributors, particularly those targeting minors and youth, amid rising cases of illegal brews. Mukunji also urged increased budgetary allocations for community rehabilitation, youth empowerment and public awareness programmes across constituencies.
