Advocate Angela Mulwa and her co-accused Nelson Masiga in the dock at Mavoko Law Courts/SCREENGRABLawyer Angela Mulwa alongside her co accused Nelson Masiga have been charged at the Mavoko Law Courts over the alleged theft of a Range Rover Sport valued at Sh15 million.
The two appeared before the court on Wednesday, where they were also charged with conspiracy to commit a felony in connection with the alleged theft of the vehicle belonging to the Africa Institute of Mental and Brain Health.
According to the charges, the two are accused of stealing the vehicle on February 2026, at Mlolongo in Machakos county.
“On February 12, 2026 at Mlolongo within Machakos County with others not before court stole a motor vehicle Range Rover Sport valued at Sh15 million, property of Africa Institute of Mental and Brain Health which was parked at the homestead of Professor David Musyimi Ndetei, a director of the said institute,” the charge reads.
Mulwa and Masiga face an alternative charge of handling stolen property.
The prosecution alleges that on August 1, 2026, the two were found in possession of the same Range Rover at Rose Residential Homes in Karen, Nairobi county.
The prosecution further alleges that they knew or had reason to believe that the vehicle had been stolen.
The two also face a separate charge of malicious damage to property.
They are accused of damaging a house valued at Sh56 million, said to belong to Professor David Musyimi Ndetei.
Mulwa and Masiga denied all the charges when they were read to them and pleaded not guilty.
The court directed that a pre-bail report be prepared before making a determination on whether to release the two on bail or bond.
The report will provide the court with information to guide its decision on the appropriate bail and bond terms.
In the meantime, the two were ordered to remain in custody pending their next appearance before the court.
The matter will be mentioned on September 9, 2026 for further directions.
