IEBC Chairperson Erastus Ethekon says the 2027 General Election will test the preparedness of Kenya’s institutions and their commitment to strengthening democracy. Ethekon says stakeholders must learn from past elections, respond to warning signs and ensure political competition remains peaceful and lawful. He says political parties, candidates and security agencies have a shared responsibility to protect voters and election officials while respecting the rule of law.
