The NCIC has summoned Nominated MP Joseph Wainaina over remarks he allegedly made in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County. The summons follow a widely circulated video in which Wainaina allegedly suggested that members of a particular community who do not support President William Ruto’s re-election should leave Uasin Gishu County.

Meanwhile, Public Service CS Geoffrey Ruku appeared before the NCIC this morning after being summoned over alleged hate speech. The commission says the summons followed an extensive verification process.
