Former Murang’a Governor Mwangi wa Iria and six others have been charged afresh in connection with a Sh351 million corruption case, after DPP amended the charge sheet. The fresh charges relate to allegations of fraud in a media-buying contract that led to loss of public funds. The former governor is also accused of conflict of interest. The amended charge sheet further contains several money-laundering charges involving millions of shillings.
