The Intergovernmental Budget and Economic Council-IBEC has moved to make provisions for Universal Health Coverage workers to be absorbed by the county governments under permanent and pensionable terms. Speaking after chairing a special meeting of the IBEC that was held at the official deputy president residence in Karen, Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki said they have made the necessary budgetary provisions to transfer the payroll of UHC workers to county governments and convert their terms from contractual to permanent and pensionable.
