As Kenya braces for potentially heavy October to December rains, memories of the deadly floods that swept through Nairobi in March are still fresh for families in Mathare. Among those living with the scars is Anne Wanjiku, who lost her husband after he was swept away while helping residents cross floodwaters. Now, with another rainy season approaching, Wanjiku wants the government to act before the waters rise again.
