Seventy-nine percent of Kenyans have checked their blood pressure at least once in their lifetime, while 59 percent have checked their BMI, a new survey by Doctors for Healthy Living has found. Lifetime screening drops significantly for blood sugar at 47 percent, cholesterol at 15 percent and waist circumference at 9 percent. Recent screening is even lower, with only 38 percent checking blood sugar, 10 percent cholesterol and 6 percent measuring their waist circumference in the past 12 months.
