Following the tragic deat of Arbantone artiste Stoopid Boy, a wave of social-media rants emerged online. A content creator named Modesto took to Instagram to post a viral video.

In his video, Modesto levelled severe, unverified accusations against popular media personality Oga Obinna.

The Serious Accusations

Modesto went on a rampant tirade in his video, linking Oga Obinna to the tragic deaths of young creatives whom the media host had previously assisted.

Speaking passionately, Modesto alleged: "Oga Obinna you are a devil worshipper."

Modesto argued that seeking help from the media personality leads to tragic consequences. He remarked: "Akikusaidia lazima ukufe." He referenced the deaths of both Stoopid Boy and Shalkido, another creator who passed away.

Modesto also detailed the harsh financial reality Stoopid Boy reportedly faced before his death. He claimed the young rapper sat alone, struggling with rent and lack of food.

Modesto asserted that Stoopid Boy had lamented: "Mimi ngoma yangu maybe iko 10m views na saa hii niko hapa nimeshindwa kulipa rent.

Oga Obinna Responds

Instead of reacting with anger, Oga Obinna chose a highly empathetic approach. He addressed the situation on Instagram, comparing Modesto's emotional outbursts to those of the late Kenyan TikToker, Brian Chira.

Chira passed away in March 2024 after struggling publicly with mental health.

Oga Obinna posted: "Rem Brian Chira?? Exactly.... and I honestly feel sorry for him. Hope someone out there gives him a hand because for Modesto you can see he just speaks, unlike some others who are intentional about spreading a narrative to gain clout or views or get my attention."

Obinna urged his followers to show compassion. He highlighted that Modesto requires comprehensive support.

In a subsequent statement, Obinna added: "I actually don't have any issue with Modesto, I find him funny. He however needs help. Sadly, he thinks he doesn’t💔. Not only Emotional, but financial and spiritual."

The Background

This controversy stems from Oga Obinna's long-term relationship with Stoopid Boy. Oga Obinna stepped in to help the Arbantone star in January 2025. He facilitated Stoopid Boy's admission into a rehabilitation programme in Nairobi to combat alcohol abuse.

However, after leaving rehab, the two had a public fallout. As reported by Tuko, Stoopid Boy accused Obinna and his management of exploitation and failing to keep their promises.

In response, Obinna urged Kenyans to support the artiste while he was still alive. Following Stoopid Boy's tragic passing, Obinna blamed online bullying and a lack of structures in the creative industry for the rapper's struggles.
