Kenya has lost nearly 70 per cent of donor funding for HIV and TB programs, threatening 1.4 million Kenyans. AIDS Healthcare Foundation Country Director Samuel Kinyanjui warns that without treatment, these patients risk becoming infectious again, triggering a health rebound. Kinyanjui notes that insufficient national investment makes it impossible to properly combat major non-communicable diseases like heart disease, diabetes, hypertension and cancer.
