Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa has graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Public Administration
Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa has graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Public Administration from Murang’a University of Technology.
Barasa’s doctoral research focused on county governments’ branding strategies and how they influence service delivery satisfaction among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), with Bungoma County serving as the case study.
“Mungu ni mwaminifu kwa kila mtu anayemtumainia," he said on Facebook.
The second-term lawmaker had announced in June that he had successfully completed his PhD.
At the time, Barasa also defended his academic qualifications after questions were raised about his education, saying he holds two undergraduate degrees and two master’s degrees and had completed his doctoral studies.
“I heard someone say that I didn’t go to school. That I stole someone’s certificate. I’m the most learned MP in Bungoma County. I have two undergraduate degrees and two Masters. I completed my PhD and I will graduate with a doctorate next month,” Barasa said at the time.
Barasa is also seeking to become Bungoma governor in the 2027 General Election on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket.
The MP, who has a significant support base in the county, has been conducting grassroots campaigns and rallies across Bungoma.
He said his political journey was guided by his faith.
