Democratic Party leader Justin Muturi has urged Parliament to urgently table and debate the Elections Amendment Bill, 2024, before the IEBC signs a tender contract for election technology. Muturi said the Bill’s recommendations would strengthen safeguards for the 2027 General Election. The former Speaker questioned why recommendations from the NADCO process had remained before Parliament for 17 months without debate or action.
