Amnesty International says Kenya has made notable progress in the 16 years since the promulgation of the 2010 Constitution, citing a resilient judiciary, expanded legal rights and devolution. However, the rights group says the country has also missed key opportunities, pointing to attacks on the right to protest, disregard for court orders, corruption and economic exclusion. It is calling for an end to impunity, police brutality and stronger enforcement of Chapter Six.
