The NCIC has urged faith leaders to bar politicians from using church pulpits to spread hate speech, ethnic division and inflammatory rhetoric. Speaking during an inter-religious leaders’ consultative forum on peaceful elections, NCIC chairperson Kepha Omae said places of worship must remain sacred spaces for unity and moral guidance. He called on politicians to tame their tongues, warning that inflammatory words could fuel hatred, animosity and destruction.
