Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja says the county has added 224 newborn units, 23 neonatal ICUs and 20 adult ICUs over the past four years. He says hospitals including Mama Lucy, Mbagathi and Pumwani now offer expanded maternity services, including C-sections. Sakaja says the county has also expanded renal care, with Mama Lucy’s renal unit treating 113 patients in August. The services are covered under SHA.
